On behalf of the Board of Directors for the Charlotte Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants, I’d like to welcome you to our website. The National Association of Black Accountants was founded in 1968 and serves as the premier accounting and finance organization for African Americans. The mission of NABA is to promote awareness and increase the number of African Americans in accounting and finance. The Charlotte Chapter aids in the achievement of this goal through multiple programs for our members and the community.
Through numerous partnerships with local Corporate Sponsors and through the dedicated work of our members, we are able to provide: substantial training (including CPE Credits), valuable networking connections and exciting social events. Our calendar is designed to provide the greatest amount of value for our members.
It is the vision of the Board of Directors that our members are the best trained, informed and connected professionals in the Charlotte area. Given the current economic environment it is important that professionals have a robust support system behind them.
We encourage you to join the local chapter and subsequently a committee to get involved. Involvement on a committee will provide you the opportunity to gain insight into the inner workings of the organization and also provide an opportunity to serve your community as well.
Whether you are a new transplant to the area or a lifetime Charlotte resident we invite you to become a permanent fixture in the NABA Family.
Regards,
Justin A. Butler
Chapter President
